An extra special element of the 2020 Angel City Virtual Games presented by The Hartford is that volunteers are invited to participate in all activities! Try an adaptive sport you've watched in the past or join in on the fun community events. Volunteers will have the opportunity to the next level by training with our adaptive athletes, further grasp their understanding on disability, meet individuals from all over the world, and participate in every event all summer long!
In addition to participating, you can help promote the 2020 Angel City Virtual Games presented by The Hartford. Spread the word on this incredible opportunity and give more people the chance to learn about adaptive sports and Paralympic movement. Click here for helpful promotion materials and links.
No experience is necessary. We take any volunteers that are willing to serve.
Angel City Sports provides volunteer opportunities for individuals of all ages. Youth under the age of 18 years are welcome to sign up for a shift under the role “Youth Special Task Force.”
Due to the nature of the “Athlete Angels” and some Swimming Clinic & Competition volunteer roles, we require any volunteers that sign up for these shifts to have a current criminal background check on file. All other volunteer roles do not require a volunteer to complete a background check.
An Angel City Games volunteer t-shirt will be provided at check-in before your first volunteer shift. This is an outdoor event that will require plenty of movement in most areas. Please wear athletic and/or comfortable shoes and shorts or pants you feel comfortable maneuvering in.
We suggest that you bring a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle. A small bag is a great way to carry whatever items you may need during your volunteer shift. Please note that we will not have a secure place to leave your belongings.
Volunteer check-in will be located outside of Pauley Pavilion, just at the top of the stairs from Parking Structure 7.
Please arrive ready to check-in at your designated volunteer shift time. For example, if your volunteer shifts begins at 7am, please be at the Volunteer check-in tent outside of Pauley Pavilion at 7am.
Food will not be provided for volunteers working a single shift for the day. Please arrive having eaten breakfast or lunch depending on shift. For volunteers confirmed working both AM and PM shifts on a given day, lunch will be provided. Please check-in during lunch at the Volunteer tent to get details for that day.
If you have any questions on being a volunteer please contact us at
and we will be happy to answer all of you questions.
