The Angel City Games, presented by The Hartford, is not just about athletes who are ready to compete for medals, but also about helping prepare the adaptive athletes of tomorrow. Sports clinics are perfect for new athletes who are exploring adaptive sports for the first time, or getting their first exposure to instruction from trained coaches, all in a fun and inclusive environment.. This year, we’ve teamed up with Wayfinder Family Services to add the exciting visually impaired specific sport- Goalball.
Our Goalball Clinic features instruction in a variety of skills, from court awareness and communication to defense and throwing techniques. This clinic is suited for athletes ages 7 and older who want to participate-all skill levels are welcome. Goalball is a sport primarily for visually impaired athletes however athletes of other ability levels are invited to join in on the fun. Participants must have the ability to transfer from a laying down position to a standing position in order to play Goalball. Eyeshades will be provided.
