Athletes, parents, coaches, volunteers, sponsors, and guests:
Our entire team is thrilled to welcome you to the 3rd Annual Angel City Games hosted at the iconic UCLA campus.
We are especially grateful to have athletes returning to UCLA to compete this year! We look forward to seeing you over the June 22nd-25th weekend!
For new athletes, we are thrilled to have you join us, and hope you have an amazing time at the Games, which is already one of the largest adaptive sports events on the West Coast. We have worked hard to make the 2017 Angel City Games the best yet. We have listened to all the feedback from over the last couple of years and we’re excited about the many new elements added to this year’s four-day event.
We have added more competitive opportunities (5 Paralympic sports – Track & Field, Swimming, Archery, Wheelchair Basketball, and Wheelchair Tennis) and more community-building activities for athletes and guests.
This year’s event will feature our Great Games Cookout on Friday evening, a Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball on Saturday evening, our Fun Run & Roll Fundraiser Sunday morning, and then a Main Stage Expo and Fun Zone Experience!
We hope you take advantage of all these activities. Meet other athletes and make new friends. Share stories and knowledge. Try something new. But most of all…for everyone…enjoy yourselves and finish strong! This weekend is for you!
Again, thank you all for getting involved in the 2017 Angel City Games.
We can’t wait to see you in June!

Angel City Games History
The Angel City Games is the leading adaptive sports festival in the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. As the largest metro area in size in the United States, and with a population of about 20 million people, there are thousands of adaptive athletes who are served by the Angel City Games. Though Los Angeles is host for the Games, participants in previous years have traveled to participate from all over the country and world.
This multi-day, multi-event sports festival includes both competitions and clinics for athletes of many different impairments and skill level.
The Angel City Games is a family friendly event with plenty of activities throughout the weekend for all to enjoy. The goal is to celebrate these incredible athletes and create a community of support and understanding around sports. Adaptive athletes can come and try new sports, compete in sports they love, and everyone else can be part of the experience and even get a sense of what being an adaptive athlete is all about.
The first Angel City Games in June 2015 were tremendously successful, with 150 athletes participating in Track & Field and Wheelchair Basketball clinics and competition. Over 1,300 attendees came through over the 2 day event; Hollywood stars Adam Sandler and Christian Bale and several pro athletes were on-hand to cheer the athletes and participate in our Celebrity Wheelchair Basketball Game; and our media partners at Fox Sports AM 570 - LA's largest sports radio station - broadcast live from the track at UCLA's Drake Stadium during the event. The first Angel City Games exceed all of our expectations and were a huge hit with families, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and most importantly with the athletes, many of whom participated in Adaptive Sports for the first time.
In 2016 we again returned to UCLA for the Angel City Games, but expanded the event to a four-day festival that included first-time clinics in soccer, badminton, swimming and archery. We doubled participation in the Games and received even more media attention.
